I’m not in the events industry because it’s easy.. I’m in the events industry, because I THOUGHT it would be easy… This video makes it look so easy and painless. As AV tech sometimes we sometimes work into the morning hours, on little sleep and sometimes empty stomachs. We sleep when we can and eat when we can, all whilst the Artist takes the credit for a well executed show. Not that we care. Just saying, the crew behind these events, are the real reasons we can have great entertainment! Hats off to them!

I’m the head of the repair department for the 3rd largest sound company in the USA, we compete with Clair, solotech, 4 Wall, and wany more. I’ve been on many sides of this industry. I started out doing repairs for a large backline company that evolved into me running sound for national acts, to doing my own truck packs and deployments. As i’ve gotten older, as much as I miss the stage, the lights, the crowds, the memories and the people you meet along the way, I am a FIRM believe of put your good where your good does best and for me thats on the repair bench making sure my guys on the shop floor have as stress free of an experience as possible in the field!
